Stonepave is delighted to have won such a prestigious award at the Stone Federation Awards in the Landscaping Category for the Luas Project in Dublin. The official ceremony took place on the 7th of December at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London. We are very proud to have won this award for one of the most complex and significant projects to have been undertaken in Ireland for several years. The Luas Cross City has completely transformed Dublin’s transport system. Running along 13 stops over 5.9km, the linking up of the Luas Red and Green Lines cost €4.5 million to build and was delivered on schedule, running for the first time towards the end of 2017. Such a challenging project required a contractor well used to tackling projects of this magnitude. Construction was carried out through a joint venture between John Sisk and Son and Steconfer, a Portuguese-based global railway construction company while O’Connor Sutton Cronin was the architect on the project. Landscape architects Brady Shipman Martin also assisted in the delivery of Luas Cross City. You can read the full article on the Luas Cross City here.
